Understanding Diagnostics
Answers, Close to Home.
Imaging, cardiac testing, and sleep studies performed at Pulse and reviewed by the same team that manages your care, so a test becomes a plan instead of another appointment.

Diagnostic Testing
Diagnostic testing is how symptoms become answers. Our team orders the right study, performs it on an outpatient basis, and reviews the findings with you directly, keeping cardiology, nephrology, endocrinology, podiatry, and primary care working from the same information.

Benefits
Testing is only useful when it leads somewhere. Our approach keeps the study, the results, and the plan with one connected team.
Testing where you already receive care
Imaging, cardiac testing, and sleep studies are performed at Pulse clinics, so you are not sent across Houston for a single test.
Results read by your care team
The physician who ordered your test reviews the results with you and explains what they mean for your treatment plan.
Faster path to a plan
Keeping diagnostics in-house shortens the gap between the test and the decision that follows it.
Coordinated across specialties
Cardiology, nephrology, endocrinology, podiatry, and primary care work from the same results instead of repeating tests.
Clear preparation instructions
Before every study our staff walks through what to expect, what to bring, and whether you need to fast or adjust medication.
Comfortable, outpatient experience
Most tests are non-invasive, take under an hour, and let you return to your normal routine the same day.
Before your appointment
Preparing for your test
Preparation varies by study. Our staff will confirm the specifics when you schedule, and these steps apply to most diagnostic visits.
- Bring a photo ID and your insurance card
- Bring a current list of your medications
- Ask whether you need to fast before your test
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing
- Leave jewelry and metal accessories at home for imaging
- Arrive a few minutes early to complete check-in
- Tell us if you are pregnant or may be pregnant
- Plan to review results with your Pulse physician
